By understanding a student's challenges and addressing their fears with facts, resources, and guidance, we can position ourselves as a meaningful solution and significantly reduce the number of prospects who disappear due to uncertainty

I learned a bunch of ways to get ready for an interview, and the value presentation framework really stood out. It’s super helpful for figuring out how to present myself. I’m definitely planning to use the worksheet to prep and feel more confident going in.

For potential students, value comes down to what they see in our offer — usually a mix of strong academics, real career prep, personal growth, and a welcoming community. And when it’s all affordable, it gives them a clear path to the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in both their careers and their lives.

Key to success is relationship building, being respectful, and empathetic.

Listening, internalizing, and responding in a way that shows you're heard the student helps develop a connection and show of respect. Respect seems to be fundamental in the exchange.

Listening and asking questions is essential to relationship building.

Admissions is really about building a connection. The school is trying to show students why it’s a great place for them, and students are showing why they’d be a great fit. It’s about getting to know each other. And sometimes, through that process, you realize the student might actually thrive even more somewhere else — and that’s a good thing, because the goal is to help them find the best place to grow.

Attending meetings is good and keeping abreast of new information is good. Keeping a resource notebook of locations to find information also good.

Students should be well informed about the school and program they are applying too and prospective students learn about the school from marketing.

I learned that it is important to collect the information via the enrollment agreement, keep documentation handy to answer questions, be sure to follow the course catalog and on top of new regulation.
