In this section the main takeaway was the four O's. Also, student engagement tips were very useful.

Student engagement is key for student learning. In my opinion, there should be a balance between teacher centric and student centric activities. Another take away is to realize that the instructor caries multiple roles in the online learnign environment and facilitator is one of them.

I learned that usiing a centralized LMS to post content, submit assignments and conduct discussion is important for the success of a course. Also, I have learned about the advantages and disadvantages of synchronous and asynchronous learing environments. I think that a combination of both is the best for learning outcomes.

I have learned that teaching and learning technology and also teaching style should be selected carefully. Also, as a teacher we have to assess various teaching and learning environments and technologies and use them for the best student outcomes.
