This section is the most important for me. Motivation is the key to success in resting a student. Keeping a student engaged, effectively communicating with empathy, building rapport, while enhancing their quality of experiences in class.
Technology offers so many ways to communicate, continued education, accessibility, time flexibility amongst other things. Staying current on technology while still building personal connections gives educators a healthy balance.
Understanding how a student learns and communicates helps educators to better assist. Online learning has grown and achieved great success with many learners and educators. Making a work, home and school life achievable to advance in our careers.
I have learned that alliances with personnel are important because we can learn from our peers as well. It’s important for students to see personnel engaging and working as a team. Encouraging students to achieve their goals, mentoring, and leading by example is the key to success.

Career Ed Lounge is embedded in over eighty professional development portals serving the career and technical education community. Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
