As an instructor, get into the habit of making a list, so you can cross check to deliver your content and not deviate from it.

As a teacher, you Lead by example by practicing what you say. You also demonstrate professionalism by showing up on time, do your homework well and prepare your material ready to go. Show interest in the material that you are going to teach to make the students develop interest in the material.
