Always be open to updating content and keep track of what changes are made. As the instuctor, I should look back at changes to gauge whether they were effective in benefitting the student experience.

Feedback plays a lerger role in the online learning environment. Facial expressions, tone, and other non-verbal cues are absent so immediate feedback is important for students to gauge their progress.  I need to be sure to setup guidelines for how often I will be providing feedbacl to my online students.

Learn how to manage yout time. Be available at certain times to answer questions and make that clear to the students.

I need to be proactive in planning and organizing my online course. Time management can help to ease the stresses of online teaching.

Organization skills impact the effectiveness of the online course both on the student and instructor side.  I definitely need to take a look at my current system to ensure they are no other avenues of orgaizational opportunity I haven't taken advantage of.

Understanding the 7 principles of learning are valuable guidelines for success in an online learning environment.  Although these guidelines were developed years ago, they still very much apply to the online learning environment today.

Using a variety of tools is important to engage the students using different platforms.

I liked the the idea of good online citizenship as a way of improving the online experience.  

THere are several important things to remember when facilitating an online course.  Students must self-assess to determine their strengths and weaknesses as they pertain to online learning.  Providing accomodations to online learners is also an important component of online teaching and must be considered.

This module focuses on the importance of a ruric.  I have always used rubrics and this reinforces my decision to do so.  Rubrics make the directions clear to the student and allow for precise feedback to the student.
