Adult learners bring a lot more to the table when it comes to group discussions. Some are here at the school because of career changes and have valuable input !

I am usually all ove rthe classroom because it helps me to keep everones attention. People cant play with there cell phones or daze out when they dont know where i will be from time to time...

I have to agree with Maria , a lot of our tools as instructors are listening and observations. In my experience , i have found that most upset students have underlying problems that manifest in scholl. Lashing out so to speak.

Terrific tips on calming, i have been telling myself that i would probably feel better if i exercised and ate better. I do know the way i feel stress wise is best when i physically am on my game...

I fount it interesting how on the mark the "y" generation hits . I have teens and grown up children as well as a big populace in my classes that fit them to a T

Our school also has meetings on retention . There are so many ways to influence retention , but being involved with your students on a daily basis is one of the best ways to influence it .

This was truly a great course . I have learned a lot from it and now know how to prioritize better to reduce my stress..

I tend to agree with Mr Gagne about there being a little bit of pressure involved for the students. We are preparing them for the workforce and what kind of injustice would we be doing to them if we made it too easy for them and did everything for them

Most definitely is our job! All of the people that the students come in contact with and even some that don't still have a responsibility to do the best job they can to ensure the student is rightly accommodated. Customer service plays a big part in retention and that is served up by all departments.........
