Adult learners are more mature and have experience in the work field so they want to be able to apply everything they learn as soon as possible. People around the age of 18 to 20 years tend to be passive learners because they are more concerned about fitting in and are unsure of what is expected of them.

There is a difference between teaching a case and teaching a class. Teaching a class allows for the integration of people and their personal experiences to discuss specific topics and creates a unique way of learning.

Average attention span of adults is 15-18 minutes, we retain 25% of what we hear, 40% of what we read, and listen 4x faster than we speak. Combining different methods of learning will keep students focused and interested on the lecture being presented.

Learn the students names and allow them time to get to know each other. Create a safe and comfortable learning environment for the students.
