Online learning allows a larger population of students to attend school due to flexibility. The blended method can bring both worlds together to help with student success.

Student's notice when an instructor cares. The relationship to student and instructor is vital. Student's open up when they feel emotionally safe to do so and this connection will be a vital aspect to determine if the student chooses to quit or not.

Student's may experience barriers to learning. It is the duty of the instructor to support them as best as possible so they can be successful. At times, the instructor may have student's that are disruptive to the online learning process and they have to take proper steps to work through that.

Asynchronous is the preferred form of discussions because it gives opportunities for student's to all participate over a longer period of time. 

It is important for the student to recognize the online instructor is relatable and human, not just a screen. This will create comfort and safety for the student.

Students need to have proper resources to feel supported online. Examples of these would include access to the instructor or an e-learning representative if any issues arise with technology.

As an instructor need to add variety in instruction to meet as many different learning styles as possible for student success.

The first day will set the tone for the term. Allowing students to feel comfortable will help their learning as they progress. Make sure to learn the names and correct nicknames the student prefers to be called.

Having a check list keeps your prepared and organized. It will establish good habits so nothing is missed.
