Be enthusiastic about your class and have some fun activities to keep student engagement high

This course was very helpful to understand reasons for students electing to continue their education and identification of student needs to increase student retention.  This can assist us instructors to continually motivated students during delivery of lecture and creating assessments that can measure achievement of student learning outcomes. Better understanding of intrinsic and extrinsic students needs helps further tailor educational materials and subject matter to deliver personalized curriculum.

I have learned that almost everyone is using email nowadays and a great tool 

Asynchronous education is much more appropriate and easier for the instructor and student

Making yourself present by asking students to post a short biography of themselves to be shared with everyone.

Familiarizing yourself with the course delivery techniques and strategies helps with student and instructor success.

Take into account all learning styles when creating course content. Demonstrating skills to students is also a useful tool for learning.

It's very important to introduce yourself and your background to your students to establish the instructor student relationships and develop ethos. Asking the students to introduce themselves also helps you gain insight and find ways the students can transfer their experience into the subject matter.

Being prepared is the best way to show the students your commitment to their learning.
