Each teasting method has its pro's and con's. It is up to the instructor to select the best testing method to evaluate student knowledge of the material.

I have always found that critical thinking is the hallmark of a wise and educated person.

Lots of good tips on how to use questions as a teaching tool and ways to respond to student answers if correct, partially correct, incorrect, and off topic.

Students have 4 learning style, each student may have a preference and learn better in their prefeered stayle, but all can benefit to some degree with the other ways.

Vary teaching style and keep things interesting for students max learning and engagement.

I'm going to be sure to start each lesson with enthusiasm, getting to know students, provide complete course objectives and end with a recap and getting students prepared and excited for the next lesson.

Being prepared for the class as a whole and each class individually is important. Knowing students names and being present and enthusiastic about the material and knowing the syllabus, objectives and lesson plans are a must.

Online instruction requires the same authority and presence as instruction in real life, but is more difficult to achieve, therefore more thought is required. The examples of sharing bios is a great way to go about it.
