It is overall beneficial for the instructor and course to have multiple types of evaluations in order to get a wide range of data. 

Having a balance between formative and summative is ideal when teaching an online course because it provides the students as well as the teacher with what is being taught/learned. I also learned how to make a more thorough/ in depth rubric that will help students with specifics.

I learned about how dynamic syllabuses allow changes which promotes a more student centered environment. I  also learned about the various forms of chat rooms that allow students to share and discuss about content that they have learned in class with each other. 

I learned about framework for the course modules and how it helps sequence information, which helps students build on prior knowledge. Also having a consistent database/ framework is beneficial to the course.
