When hiring new employees, having a good solid orientation and onboarding is crucial and sets the tone for the next couple of weeks months in the new employee's success in their new position and new company.

Really taking the time to speak clearly about the job description and what is to be expected from the new employee is also a key area to focus on.  Also, looking for personal and professional qualities that will make them ideal teachers.

I like that they focus on utilizing many different areas and resources for recruitment. Making an announcement to graduates from your institution and keeping up with Alumni is a great way to encourage them when they get their first job in the field to work hard and maybe come back and become an instructor. Also, word of mouth to have your instructors who know others in the field that they would recommend will also open areas for recuritment.

Analyzing the job description and taking what I  have learned from instructor observations will help me with a better understanding of the key areas that I need to look for when interviewing for an instructor. Being able to map out areas of focus and using KSAO's will also help.
