Anti-traditional teaching actually values a more human, student-centered approach. By prioritizing connection, emotional support, and autonomy, teachers promote deeper learning, critical thinking, and student confidence.

Being an effective instructor goes beyond knowing the content: it involves moving around the classroom and lab, maintaining both administrative and educational organization, and practicing patience in communication. It is important to use clear and encouraging language and to promote critical thinking by asking questions that focus on why and how.

I learned how to be more intentional in the way I communicate with my students and that, to be truly effective, I need to use additional mobility and presence in the classroom.
