I learned about the importance and usefulness of assessments to further learning.

Asking appropriate questions will help the students learn by engaging them in discussion. It is important to encourage participation throughout the discussion.

It's important to understand that there are multiple learning styles present in the classroom and include aspects of each into the delivery of the lesson.

I like the ideas of having multiple points of data for reviewing a course. The students may be the most important, but are not looking at the course as an educator.

Rubrics and feedback will help guide the student to the learning objectives for the lesson. I'll need to make sure I provide more information in the rubrics to help students.

Effective communication becomes even more important in online education to ensure students stay on track. Things like a dynamic syllabus can help students stay on top of the lesson.

Ensuring that the course is structured consistently and ordered correctly will help keep the student's attention.

I learned about the many challenges which can be presented by different types of students. Effective communication can help keep most of the challenges from getting too big.

I will use synchronous and asynchronous discussions to allow students to interact while also making sure the important topics are covered.

I learned that I need to make a bigger effort to create a relationship with the students during online instruction.
