I have always known that rewards such as monetary and other tangible items are not effective in sustaining motivation. It is amazing to finally point out that autonomy, mastery and purpose and meaning are sure ways in developing motivation. I can apply this not only with my students but in life in general. Thank you.

I have, for the most part, have a great relationship and rapport with my students.  Rarely though, I get negative feedback from them  (inattention, making faces, etc.).  How do you keep this to the minimum and point out the negative behaviour without embarrasing the student involved?

I've had the privilege of teaching in skills lab for almost three years now.  I did not even know that I was employing constructivism in my class.  I gather information from my students during our first day of class through a game.  This game entails for students to introduce themselves, and tell the class what they do for a living (professional student, bartender, etc.) and why they choose nursing.  I then take note of this information and formulate the ongoings of my class according to their educational levels and previous/current profession.
