I agree that soft skills are key to being effective!

I found journaling/keep a diary of the experience to be extremely helpful.  It allows for one to reflect on the good and the bad (where improvement is needed).  I feel that this tool also helps the internship coordinator keep a pulse on the student completing the internship.

Internships provide great opportunities to gain experinece to "real life" situations at potential future employment locations.  I feel that its important for a student to have at least a general idea of what their interests are to gain the most from the opportunity.

I can relate to these tips.  As a nontradition student, I remember being in this space quite vividly.  Having instructors that had a solid foundation, who were competent, caring, and encouraging made a huge difference!

This unit was very informative on the importance of being prepared.  Preparation helps set the tone for the class.

I appreciated the detailed information provided on the importance of creating a professional development plan.
