I found that when you set clear expectation for how a student should behave and the possible consequences that it helps keep the classroom setting active and it also helps keep the environment positive.

I like the idea of the "Observer". I feel like this would also help with student interactions after hearing the summary of what was just lectured but in a shorter faze to get the key terms down.

I learned that creating a team ice breaker would help students come out of their shells and be more interactive in class and will build team building skills needing to be used in the medical field or any field at all.

As a new instructor I plan on engaging my students with small group exercises that keep them questioning the content they have learned.

I learned to always switch up the teaching to keep your students engaged.

I learned that it is important to introduce yourself and your experiences. Have students introduce themselves and something personable like their hobbies. Get to know your students and let them know you are there for them making them feel comfortable with coming to you if they are struggling in the subject.

I believe that is it is important to lay down your expectations of your students on the first day of class. It is also important to hold students accountable for their own work and responsibilities.

Lead by example! As an instructor you are there as a guidance into their career pathway not there to hang out.
