I found the information about preset objectives in a rubric regarding collaboration an insightful addition to group work to encourage participation.

Communication is one of the most critical aspects of successful interactions between all individuals involved in a course. Setting up clear initial guidelines including examples is an effective way to prevent these issues. 

Allowing the student to take the lead and guide them though setting goals is a effective Coaching style.

The collected data is a legal document and needs to be complete concise and comprehensive.

I have learned it is beneficial to use multiple avenues of verification depending on the data you are trying to collect. 

I agree with many of these takeaways. I had not fully grasped the impact of reporting and tracking "gainful employment" data both at graduation and beyond. 

It is important to be empathetic to your students and their needs. Understanding the students and relating to them the real life benefits of the content can help them stay focused on their motivating factor.

Using story telling to incorporate real life learning into the classroom is a good way to break up leactures and keep students focused.

Even though you might be teaching adult learners, they do enjoy a fun learning environment. It's ok to incorporate jokes and activities to make the learning experience humourous and more enjoyable. 

Being aware of a student's intrinsic and extrinic motivations will allow for a better understanding of the individual. Allowing you to make sure they are still focused on a goal which will keep them effectively engaged in the material.
