Staying organized in the classroom will help when offering multiple learning options for the different learner personalities.

Understanding students personality traits help instructors understand learning traits, which makes a better learning environment.

I really like the concept of learning our own color to be able to be perceived by students the way we truly intend.

Understanding student personalities helps to engage them, especially in the online environment. I found it interesting, even though the tests were different, much of the results are similar. For example, many of the result explanations overlap. This is helpful to know when creating a diverse learning environment.

I really like the ARCS email format (attention, relevance, confidnece, and satisfaction). This meets the need to be cohesive and decisive at once.

I was shocked by the percentage of 47% of students that think technology is just as important as food and shelter. This is a very important aspect to consider when teaching online. The teacher must be just as tech savvy to keep up with the students.

Amy

It is important to guide students through proper plagiarism instruction for distance learning. Many times the plagiarism is not intended, so utilizing coaching strategies for plagiarism is vital.

The quality of the communication and the relationship between the student a teacher plays a prominent role in how that student will succeed. It is truly quality over quantity. Interesting.

There are several different types of e-learners. In my experience, this is true, especially if we as instructors are present in the classroom. E-learners behavior similarly such in traditional settings and should be handled with institutional policies and procedures to remove conflicts.

I think it is important o encourage confidence through grading feedback as well as suggesting constructive elements. This is a good way o encourage more participation in the future. For example, if the student was only given negative remarks, it could eliminate the confidence to continue the effort.

Amy
