Communication skills such as moving around the room freely. 

I  usually ingage with a few students and there are some that get neglected. I need to move around further into different areas. 

I do have some tics that need work on, it is difficult sometimes to pronouce unfamiliar words so I will try to revieew them before hand. 

Its essential to engage with other students and share skills or knowledge gained in the course 

Videotaping lectures is something I had not tried before. I can see how valuable this could be in the improvement of my teaching skills. 

There are several tips that I can apply:

Introduction & Handouts can be helpful to convey comfort to the students on their first day of class. 

Reviewing requirements for the course, goals, objectives, expectations, participation, and basis for evaluation I also topics to discuss on the first day of class. 

I like the idea of a checklist of topics to discuss. 

It's essential to demonstrate friendship to the student not "pal status".
