Remember that not everyone learns the same way, so be mindful when explaining the lesson. During demonstrations and learning move around and interact with each student.
Be sure to make it clear of the policies and procedures for the class. Ensure that each student knows the requirements of the course. Be sure to greet the students as they arrive, and get a commitment to return when they leave.
What I learned in this module, is that you can never be too prepared. Talk to other instructors about their teaching methods, engage with the students. Always be available to the students. Know the lesson prior to presenting it to the students.
As a first time instructor, I would like to ensure that I am confident with presenting myself to the class. I am going to practice in front of a mirror or in front of family members prior to entering the classroom for the first time.
