In my career, I've made errors such as losing my temper, reprimanding students in class publicly, and have ignored certain disruptive behaviors. This course has helped me learn some tips in properly managing a class of adult learners and I will try the slipping a note approach in the future to preserve student dignity.

I can see where I started as an instructor as a complete controller but now am more of a guide to the students. I do have pressures though at certain schools where a certain amount of material is supposed to be covered in a set timeframe so it is hard to be more of a guide but maybe I can try to incorporate more group learning activities rather than using none.

I learned that there isn't just one correct way to teach students. A variety of teaching of methods should be used synergistically to maximize student investment in learning in the classroom.

I think I can incorporate some sort of survey to figure out what kind of learner my students are and adjust my teaching style to fit the needs of most of the students, if that is possible. By default, I do like to draw or illustrate concepts by hand on the board since words on a screen can be difficult to process without some sort of picture

Using an acronym like PURE PEPSI can help students recall information related to doing proper procedure in certain situations. rap can also be helpful in remembering or recalling a correct sequence of events.

People learn in different ways, there is no one size fits all approach to satisfy those learning styles
