The table of specifications is a helpful tool to organize internal alignment and have a complete view of how you are using your assessments to meet your objectives

National Certification is a test of the alignment of different nationally accredited programs. It is important that curriculum has alignment with this ultimate goal and alignment can be assessed, in part, by outcomes measures relative to the national averages in certification testing. Building and assessing alignment within courses and between courses and national certification exams encompasses scope of practice.

Setting up safety, rules and boundries and expectations up front is the best way to provide an opportunity for a positive learning environment. I love our third party safety program and appreciate it even more after seeing this content.

Having information and suggestions for working with challenging students through the PBIS website provides a great resource.

It is important that educators actively work to participate in organizations that support the development of your CTE program. This extends beyond technical considerations to teaching best practices and engagement of peers and mentors for productive discussion.

It is a good reminder that despite modeling a clinical lab setting in school, there are distinct behavioral roles between student and teacher as versus work colleague or boss. Visualizing these boundries is important.

I learned that CTE really does exceed the word technical. It is a long, historical partnership between education and career readiness to meet societal need. I also learned that there are key attributes that characterize "high quality CTE" that are essentially a quality assurance map for program development and implementation.
