There are so many things that can change. It is important to be up to date on all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations in order to best represent the institution and provide the best service to the student. Keeping up to date on extra personal information such as what employers in the students respective field, as well as what the courses look like from an inside perspective seem to be icing on the cake when showing the students what the institution has to offer. 

It is important for an admissions rep to understand the institution that they are trying to enroll students into. If you don't believe in the product it is hard to sell. 

What i learned from this is we need to make sure that we are through in our explanation of what we provide but we also need to make sure that we "stay in our lane" and stick to what we are the professionals in. We should not make any guarantees that are unknown. 

Going through this lesson has been eye opening. I didn't really think about all of the nitty gritty of the rules we will need to adhere too. I will make sure to follow the advice given by keeping a resource notebook on hand and updated.
