It is very helpful to change the rhythm and tone of the lecture and my voice. Use stories or even enhance topic by allowing students to share as well.

Getting there early and sharing experience about myself as well as hearing about the students opens up dialogue 

I learned that as an instructor, i can plan and prepare better by staying organized myself, reviewing course objectives ahead of time and creating a self check off list to ensure i stay on track with overall goals & objectives.

I want students to see that nursing is more than performing skills-it is about treating patients with dignity, communicating respectfully, being dependable, and continuously seeking knowledge. To build this practice I must model critical thinking, teamwork, and ethical decision-making while creating a supportive learning environment where students will feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow into confident nurses.
