Using a checklist is the most helpful thing an instructor can do to help ease the first-class nerves.

Personal competence is the ability to project one's personality into the instructional setting to facilitate maximum learning opportunities. This overall competency area includes your intellectual abilities, interpersonal skills, creativity, and attitude.

By establishing a routine and having a set procedure of operation along with clear expectations, an instructor will be able to enjoy preparing for and meeting classes.

Cheating will occur when given the opportunity.

You are not going to change the behavior of center-stage students, you can only control it. 

Use icebreakers to relax the students and always connect lessons to how it will help students in their careers.
