To celebrate and encourage their successes, as well as promoting autonomy in the class setting and relating the content back to real life

I think it is important to be able to adapt to the changes in how learning is happening

How important listening and having compassion for the students is. Also different methods like collaborative learning for students to share experiences and ideas with one another

Having students take ownership and responsibility in their learning so they can feel that they have a stake in their success

How to intrinsically motivate students and staff so they feel validated in their career/education processes

To know that it is important to never humiliate a student for not knowing something, and to instead see value in their responses, to help build their confidence and not trigger survival.

I didn't know that the adult attention span is about 10-15 minutes, which is helpful to know when thinking abut course planning for each day.

I think it is valuable to know the students as more than just students. To look at their perspectives, to see their reasonings, to see their moods and feeling of the day, etc.

When working with adult learners, to understand and incorporate their life experiences, whether it is culturally, careers, etc.

that we each have different motivators, and both can be effective
