Being mindful of cultural diversity can help instructors to get creative in the classroom setting.  If challenges do arise, changes can be made to address cultural needs.  

Some individuals who speak different languages may become insecure if they have an accent.  As an instructor, it's important to make an effort to include everyone in conversations so these students don't feel left out.  

To avoid racial discrimination in the classroom, it's important to be mindful of an individual's race and culture.  As an instructor, it would be incorrect to make any cultural assumptions!     

Being mindful of cultural diversity will help create a welcoming academic environment for every student.
