So definitely being a student via online requires a more student center approach versus teacher approach. It is harder to be on top of students when it comes to taking exams. That is why discussions and collaborative interaction, a teacher can get a genuine feel how each student is and really performs. Also, the use of rubrics is a great way for students to use for guidance in their assignments, and easier for teachers to look upon and use as a reference when grading.

 

Even though online learning has its perks in the sense of it being feasible to individuals with their working schedules, it poses risks. Might cause students to not be actively engaged in comparison to being in person. But also, their are students who are not tech savy and might have issues navigating and also internet connection and speed is something of concern.

 

Active learning is very different in comparison to other ways of learning. Actively engaging students involves them in a way where learning is feasible and easier to comprehend. It involves more thinking than actually memorizing. Students need to be able to critically think and analyze their findings.
