I am a teacher in an alternative school wherein lots of my Biology students are technically adults. This is why I was drawn to this course. At the same time, I am an instructor of adults at a local career college. My highschoolers and certificate seekers have a lot in common. Many are of age, but have not developed the learning skills that would be expected of them at their particular stages of life. that the questions in the final assessment used different terminology than the readings?

I would just love to have access to an electronic white board. I was watching a lesson on youtube the other day about drawing Lewis dot structures. The lesson was fully understandable from the white board with no visualization of the intructor. It was fantastic and I am sure that the professor did not use nearly all of the capabilities.
I have been working diligently to use more technology in my courses at a local technical college for the spring term. I have been very surprised at the number of students who are not as savvy as I expected and was told they were. I have had a ridiculous number of students who don't use their school email accounts to their advantage and who have difficulty understanding how to submit work electronically. Has anyone else had these difficulties? Are you pulling some of your non-traditional and economically depressed students by the nose into the blended environment?
