Being mindful of cultural diversity encourages instructors to be more creative and flexible in the classroom. 

I have learned the importance of allowing learners to use tools that support their mother tongue as a means of processing and understanding new concepts. Restricting students to English-only settings can limit their potential. By honoring linguistic diversity, we create more equitable learning environments where all students can thrive.

As an instructor, it is essential to recognize and educate yourself about the diverse cultures and racial backgrounds represented in your classroom. Adopting a 'color-blind' approach may seem well-intentioned, but it often overlooks the unique experiences and challenges that students of different backgrounds face. True inclusivity requires awareness, understanding, and intentional effort.

Recognizing that everyone has different perspectives, I plan to move forward by being more intentional about implementing inclusive practices in my classroom and workplace.
