It is importatnt to set the standards for communication and make them clear to students up front. It is also important to practice what you preach and stay true to those standards yourself. 

It is wonderful to learn all the different avenues for communication, including social media. I also feel it is important to ask for feedback from students to guage the effectiveness of the avenues used. 

This section really helped me to understand how to continuously improve my course through multiple sources. I am always open to constructive criticism, however, perhaps i need to seek it more in order to truly benifit my stake holders. 

Feedback is an important aspect for learning so ensuring you know how to provide it in a meaninful way is crucial.

I learned the importance of developing a well planned syllabus to ensure the success and expectations of the course 

The most important thing i took away from this section was consistency among modules. Different instructos with different viewpoints and teaching styles may not mirror those of their colleagues. Consistency among all courses will help to prevent confusion among students. 

It was especially helpful to learn to identifiy and intervene with attrition. This happens all too often in online learning programs and the tips provided were very helpful .

It is interesting to learn the "prefered" learning manner, asynchronous vs synchronous. I can see why asynchronous would be the preferred learning method as it allows for the engagement of ALL learners who are likely taking the only course to accomodate their schedules. I enjoyed learning how to keep the asynchronous learning on task, engaging and how to properly give responses to discussions in an engaging manner. 

This module helped me to understand how i can make my presence both stong, respectful and engaging for the students. It is important to gain students trust in order to facilitate discussions and learning. 

Structure and expectations of the course is important. Given this is online learning it is imperitive to engage students and be accesible so they feel supported.
