Future Learning Characteristics

I have noticed over the years how learning students' characteristics have changed in students in comparison to students' learning characteristics of 15 years ago. As technology advances teachers must present new and more effective ways to instruct other than the classic chalkboard. This idea is slightly of subject but highly fascinating.

Why We Procrastinate and How to Overcome Procrastination

The way I deal with students who procrastinate is to first understand why they have such a difficult time planning ahead or performing the task at hand. Many times the anser is because they feel intimidated by the assignment or the abundant information presented. Especially in a four hour class. I always advise students to take notes. Write down phrases or key words because later the snipets of information can help them remember what was discussed. Take steps in doing the assignments, one at a time.
