Activity

In this module I learned about the "New Normal" and the important of transperency with the students.  It was interesting to learn about the different departments and the responsibilities of each.

In this module I learned about he Triad of Regulations and the importance of each one of these regulations.  You must be in compliancy with these regulations to have a school that is reputable and is in good standing.

In this module I learned about compliancy is important but trust and being transparent is an important foundation to build in an organization.

In this module I learned the importance of sharing your life/work experience and having students be active learners especially Generation Y and Z.  These two generations get bored easily, so you need to keep your teaching active and help them to be involved in group assignments.  I think that bringing multigenerations together can be very beneficial because they can assit each other to learn from each other.

In this module I learned important information about Generation "Y" and "Z" and technology.  The use of technology is important for teaching all generations but specifically Generation "Y" and "Z".  I think the human connection between an instructor and student is one of the most important aspects of teaching effectively with or without use of technology.

In this module I learned about the different generations and their learning style.  It is important to learn about your own generation and this can assist you to learn how to teach other generations.  I found the information on Generation "y" and"Z" the most interesting because they are the youngest students who are attending college at this time.

This module gave a description of each generation including characteristics of their personality and life experiences.  It was a very good insight in understanding how each generation thinks, behaves and reacts to life and life changes.

This module discussed the importance of different test formats and how to use each one effectively.

This module discussed CAT assessment and Bloom's Taxonomy as assessment measures.  The assessing of a student should be done througout a term by using these different measures.  Having the student be an active rather than a passive learner is important to assess and measure their level of learning and to identify gaps.

Questioning students and having them ask questions is an effective method of learning.  The students have to feel confident and not feel inadequate when asking questions or answering a question they are asked.  We have to learn to listen to the student and give them an opportunity to answer questions.
