Introduce yourself, let your students introduce themself. 

hand out the syllabus and explain the objectives and what do you expect from your students.

Arrive early, be prepared, have your lesson plan, review the objectives of the class.  And always have in mind the ABCD of instruction

lead by an example, be a role model, manager and motivator.

As a leader always remember the 5C.  Be Credible, Candid, Compassionate, Committed and Clear.

Always have time to professional growth, the more you learn the more you can transmit to your students.
