Checklists and attending meetings are vital to growing into a viable asset for the institution. 

There are many marketing strategies, and the best one for one institution may not fit my institution.  Research, knowing what you are offering, knowing your target groups and exit interviews will help tailor the best marketing strategy for each specific institution.    

Attention to detail and compliance with both state and institution rules and regulations. Keeping the interviews and questions the same until you reach the point of needing to make specific questions to each individual, to ensure you are able to place the student where they need to be to ensure success. 

The importance of knowing the laws and regulations as well as the guidelines of the institution as well as the marketing.  Having a good handle on these things will allow me to better assist the students and guide them with their choices.
