In the beginning of the school term a professor should always communicate objectives, expected standards and establish parameters to ensure the learning environment is respectful, encourages confidence and empowers critical thinking. Additionally, airing frustrations and comments that do not encourage knowledge of the curriculum should be discussed outside of class time.
