I learned the importance of classroom accountability, including setting clear expectations for assignment deadlines. I also learned that assigned seating can be useful even in college courses. In my classroom, I would rotate seating assignments regularly, incorporate activities that encourage participation, and follow up with questions to keep students who may be difficult to engage involved in the learning process.
