Hi Robert, I understand exactly what you are saying about writing papers. This type of dishonesty can happen in a traditional classroom setting as well because we give homework. The homework paper can be flawless, and the classwork papers are awful.....you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure this out, but as you have stated, it is very hard to prove. Patricia
Hi Susan, Students enjoy hearing real world examples. They tend to really relate to this type of teaching. Patricia
Hi Kimberly, What a great way to cover all areas! You mentioned the beginning, middle, and end. It is important to maintain excitement throughout. Patricia
Hi Sara, Nicely stated! We must be careful to treat ALL students the same. I have been teaching for 21 years, and I have never been labeled as showing favortisim. Patricia
Hi Rachel, Absolutely! Students look up to us as educators, therefore, we must lead by example in all areas. Patricia
Hi Horace, The syllabus is definitely a good resource. I refer to my syllabus numerous times throughtout a grading period. Students need to know that the information has been given to them and shared with them; and it is at their disposal to reference. Patricia
Hi June, I can tell that you really and truly care about your students, and you definitely have their best interest at heart. Thanks for being a caring educator! Patricia
Hi Kelly, Graduates in the work force can shine light on a lot of things as a guest speaker. Students thoroughly enjoy having graudates as guest speakers. The students generally picks the guest speaker's brain. Patricia
Hi Catherine, I know, time is of the essence. Try scheduling way in advance so that you may obtain some success. Face-to-face guest speakers are the best, if at all possible! Patricia
Hi Erin, As an instructor give 110%. The majority of your students appreciate the effort. Generally, a pop quiz is a sure attention getter. Patricia
