About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Lynn, Great points to discuss with Culinary majors as to why they have to take Pyschology! It would work nicely if you had a prepared PowerPoint to share with them on day one the purpose for taking the course. We do this at my educational institution for every course we offer. It is just a short PowerPoint presentation. Students love the presentations. Patricia

Hi Kathleen, Preparation is key! Being prepared minimizes anxiety. Take it as lesson learned, make copies a day a head of time and always glance through the copies to make sure everything is fully copied. Machines do malfunction! Patricia
