About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Activity

Hi Dennis, Yes, this approach has proven to be very effective. Patricia
Hi Sarah, I understand the importance of having the desk clear during testing. I've even known students to put cheat notes on bottled water. Patricia
Hi Annie, I would love to hear more about this game. Please share. Patricia
Hi Dorothy, It is the instructor's responsibility to make sure the line is not blurred. The instructor is the bigger person in this situation. Patricia
Hi Mary, It is amazing to me that some instructors expect their students to read certain material, and the instructor has not even read the material. Unreal. We as educators should always be prepared. Patricia
Hi David, I like it! What type of responses do you generally get from your students? What kind of broken parts? Patricia
Hi Ceola, We need to remember that the first day should start the communication thread, but the communication thread has to last until the end of the grading period. Patricia
Hi Patricia, I am a 22-year veteran in the field. Trust me, you will be fine. We all had to find our way! Patricia
Hi Lynette, We do have to be very careful. Students really watch and listen to us closely. We have to always be aware of our surroundings. Patricia
