About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Annie, What a great way to get to know your students and your students get to know each other. When everyone is comfortable the environment is a lot less stress free. Patricia
Hi Kilyoung, What do you do to avoid instructor mistakes? Patricia

Hi Angela, Visual learners love being shown examples and for the most part all learners love to be shown examples. By seeing examples the light bulb comes on. Patricia
Hi Kevin, Whenever you communicate effectively and thoroughly with students, complaints are minimal. As educators we must be good communicators. Patricia
Hi Richard, Rules, policies, procedures, etc. are in place for a reason. They are meant to be followed. Chaos would be prevalent, if there were no rules, policies, and procedures. We manage the classroom by having rules, policies, and procedures. Patricia
Hi Lisa, Students do gain a great sense of excitement whenever examples are shared. Students develop interest in the project. Patricia
