About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Gerald, The instructor should always be in class early, and begin teaching on the hour. If the class begins at 8:00 a.m., the instructor should begin teaching at 8:00 a.m. Teaching on the hour promotes good retention. Patricia

Hi Ed, How thorough of you to tell/show the student exactly when/where a concept was covered. I've heard that many times in my tenure as well "nobody taught us that," and I do just as you do tell/show them, then students begin to think about this...oh that's on me then kind of thinking. Patricia
