About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Chris, I agree! I like to show an example from each grade level, such as A, B, C, D, and F. Students quickly decide which grade level they would like to get. Patricia
Hi Bruce, Guest speakers are such great resources! Students enjoy having guest speakers, and they learn a lot from guest speakers. Patricia
Hi Timothy, I like how you back this teachable moment up with a positive (praise) so that students understand. Patricia
Hi John, I like how you put the responsibility on the student. They need to learn how to problem solve effectively. Patricia
Hi Craig, Separating students does minimize cheating. You have some students that will cheat solo, thus having no other student involved. Patricia
Hi Vicki, You are right! We are always being watched on campus and off as well. Patricia
Hi Ronda, Your professor gave you an exprience that you will never forget, and I applaud you for wanting to give your students that same unforgettable experience. Patricia
Hi Amy, I've experienced students telling me the same thing. Students want cheaters to be caught. Patricia
