About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Servet, The type of student we serve have major external factors. A lot of the students bring these external factor into the classroom. As professionals, we have to try to teach our students how to make the seperation with personal and professional issues. Patricia

Hi George, The fresh out of high schoolers really do have a lot to learn about the game of life. Pairing a high schooler with an older student is a clever way to try to reach the high schooler. I am sure this tactic makes an impact. Patricia

Hello Patrick, It generally works whenever students are talking about nonrelated subject material, and they are asked to share it with the class, they tend to immediately become quiet. This is an old trick, but it has kept its effectiveness. Patricia
