About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Barbara, Students fully understand the relevence of common documents, such as letters, reports, emails, memos, etc. They tend not to mind this type of document writing because they understand how the documents can benefit them in their career. Patricia

Hi Paul, I've noticed that introvert students can also come out of their shell whenever they are put into small groups. The introvert student shuts down in larger groups. Patricia
Hi Warren, There are some students that are very experienced in certain areas, therefore the instructor needs to make sure they are very knowledgable about the subject matter. Patricia

Hello Dee, I just experienced this today. I heard a student out. The student thanked me for listening and for being fair. Sometimes all students want us to do is simply listen to them. Patricia
