About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Debbie, Super! I love it! Patricia
Hi Scott, Sometimes a statement can get students really excited and interested. Patricia
Hello Joannie, I concur. I don't know how anyone can be effective without planning. Patricia

Hi Christopher, The line has to be drawn. My students know I am their instructor, not their buddy. They do not get any special treatment. Patricia
Hi John, You're on point! If a student becomes a guru in the area, the chances are better at success. I like this approach. Patricia
Hi Joannie, Whenever possible it is always good to show examples. I show three different grade levels, excellent, average, and failing. Patricia
Hi Joannie, It is only fair and professional to give immediate feedback to students with assignments. Students want to know how they are performing. Patricia
