I will continue to reach out to our local businesses and build relationships that benefit them and our students.

We currently use various self-assessments, but being intentional with an ICAP would be helpful and could be more successful for our students.

Creating an understanding of what "employability skills" are and why they are important needs to happen in an authentic way. This allows students to develop their skills on their own. I like the idea of a student researching the career so they can carry on a conversation with an industry professional in an open dialogue or a mock interview.

Looking at the continuum as a whole-school experience will help reinforce the ideas for when they enter high school.

Understanding the 4 levels of the continuum will help us adjust and set up a more intentional WBL program for our high school.

Positive and critical feedback is crucial to growth and learning. I love the idea of an exit interview with the students.

To keep the credibility and authenticity of a WBL program, student supervision is a key factor.

Documentation is an important tool for all parties involved, along with self-assessment and evaluation.

Blending on-the-job experience, collaboration with the employer, and support for both parties is essential to a positive experience for the student and the employer.

Internships and work-based learning benefit the student and employer, allowing a connection to be fostered much earlier in terms of typical employment experiences.
