This training was a little long but very rewarding. My best practice is to Master the details of every degree program, financial aid option, and campus resource to answer objections on the spot. My action plan is to create a daily routine that works for me.

I gained a better understanding of Fair Consumer Practices, admissions requirements, licensure disclosures, and the importance of providing accurate information to prospective students. The course reinforced best practices that will help me maintain compliance while supporting students throughout the enrollment process.

This module helped me expand my admissions vocabulary, and I was able to print the terms to keep them readily available for future use.

I will shift my enrollment appointments from information control to guidance and interpretation. Our organization recently updated our enrollment presentation to reflect this same approach.

Shifting my mindset from viewing admissions as a transactional function to a professional role will help reinforce my long-term responsibility. When I understood the history of the admission role it helped me put current expectations in context.

I have learned that during the admissions session it is more important to focus on understanding each potential student’s needs and identifying any roadblocks they may be facing.
