It is critical to be informed about the various licenses and the accreditation status as this does affect the requirements such as the meetings you may have to attend.

I learned about the best practices that should be adhered and it is always good to actually sit in on classes, workshops, and other options available in career services to be well informed.

Policies and procedures should be followed per your school's regulations. It is important to give accurate information especially as related to aid and options that your school may have available. Most importantly, you should only give out information that you are authorized to and refer students/parents to the right department to answer questions beyond your scope.

This module assisted me in better understanding compliance, my role and duty to know so that I can accurately inform students. It also opened my eyes that this role requires constantly keeping informed about the industry and changes.
